Fils de Grace

WELCOME

MY FILS DE GRACE was originally built as a 54m Cable Laying and Repair ship in 1968 by renowned Dutch shipyard E. J. Smit & Zoon. After successfully operating for some 30 years in Northern European waters, she was converted in to a private motoryacht and renamed MY Sir Arthur J in 2003. A list of the vessel’s milestones can be viewed on the ‘Provenance’ page.

Today, this strong ship is undergoing a comprehensive Luxury Conversion at one of Turkey’s Premiere shipyards. The transformation encompasses extensive Exterior remodelling, a newly devised Internal layout, Custom-built furniture, state-of-the-art Systems and a full package of Engineering works. This workflow is intended to unlock the vessel’s full potential resulting in an ‘as new’ international standard superyacht complying to Bureau Veritas and MCA regulations for unrestricted navigation.

The current Owner discovered FDG laying in Italy during the Summer of 2009 and following positive results from expert surveys, bought her to provide the ideal platform to fulfill his dream. He named the Project Touya, his aim was to transform her in to a Timeless, Elegant and Comfortable Ocean-going superyacht, on which to embark on a ‘round the world cruise’ with his wife and family. Unfortunately due to an unexpected and tragic loss of one of the family members in 2011, progress on board Touya was paused and it has ultimately been decided to offer her for sale.
